PLEASE HELP 240 enthusiast

hi, im new to this place, and i have a question i was hoping some of you 240 experts can help me with. i am currently looking for a 240 as a daily driven/spirited driving car. my question is which of the two, s13 or s14, would best suit my preferences. i am not looking into producing tremendous power, no sr, or anything big. i am only planning on intake, exhaust, possibly ecu and cooling. what im really looking to do is setting up a great handling car with tasteful suspension modifications. so i was wonder whether the s13 or s14's characteristics are better built for my needs. i know the s13 has good balance, but heavy understeer, but thats about all i know. i know almost nothing about the s14. with aftermarket suspension tuning, which of the two has the upper hand? which is easier to work with? does someone have a direct comparison between the two in which they can point out the differences in each when driven? if you guys out there can help, i would really appreciate it. take in mind im only 17 and my budget is limited, but i love driving, and drifting sometimes in my mkiii supra... ...auto.... n/a..

not including purchase of the car, is around 3k-4k so far. im not planning on coilovers yet, so im gonna stick with springs, shocks, sways and chassis stiffening. intake, exhaust, etc would come later
