Hoping to find some guidance here on how to wire my backup camera to aftermarket stereo in 2014 Sentra SV. It came with my new deck with little instructions. I know almost nothing about wiring, but I didn't think this would be too hard. I installed the aftermarket stereo myself so I figured why not. I sort of get the jist of it I am just nervous and don't want to mess anything up which is why I'm checking here. I've done quite a bit of research with little help. The camera is wireless with a transmitter and receiver.

I started to wire it starting with the back end wiring the cam end to the green reverse light wire in the trunk. I used a Scotch lock to make the connection from the green reverse light wire to the red wire from the camera. I grounded the black wire to a bolt off the taillight. Is this right? I don't seem to be getting power to the camera on the back end at least. The light on the transmitter doesn't light up when car is put into reverse. I haven't wired the other end yet I wasn't completely sure where to put the other red and black wires. I know the red needs a 12v power connection but can this be done right off the wire coming off of the stereo or do I have to locate a kick panel or fuse box? Where does the black wire need to go? Also there is a wire coming off the new deck labeled "reverse." Is this some sort of trigger wire so the cam comes on when I go into reverse? If so is it necessary to use even tho I'm gonna be hooking it to the reverse light?

Sorry for all the questions but any help is greatly appreciated. I'm ready to get this thing in! I can post pics later when it gets light outside.
