I am one day away from hauling my sr and my 240 shell out to a field and spending the rest of my money on explosives to blow them both to hell.

I am an idiot also.

Ok, I broke off one of the cam cap bolts in the head. Removal shouldnt be a problem, although I know it will be. Where can I buy replacement cam cap bolts from? Thanks.

I hope you were using a torque wrench. The ones that go in inches*lb because those things get torqued in very small numbers (ft*lb wise)

How many did you break? I have some laying around.

EDIT: I only have one spare. The one I have measures 2.4" from the top of the head to the bottom.

I just broke one, but I think I stretched the other one. They were the outside bolts that go into the front caps right by the cam gears. Yeah of course, I was trying to use a torque wrench, but the settings on it were to high sooooo being the idiot that I am, I thought I could go off the scale a little and the wrench would still work. HAHAHA!!! Yeah so, IT DOESNT WORK! Dont try it.

Figure out the sizes you need and get them from an SER SR20DE. They are the same and should cost about $1 each.

Try the sponsor on the side. http://www.nissanparts.org/

They are a Nissan/Infiniti dealership and I have ordered parts from them before.

As for the year, say 1993 if you want to get specific. I could give you the part numbers if you knew exactly which one you needed.

This is for the intake side outside front bolt: 13058-2J203

It may be the same number for the exhaust side, if it is not then this would be for the other outside: 13058-53j10

Ok, well I measured the whole thing out in hopes of getting better results. I have been to every bolt store in the city with no luck. I also ordered the bolts that speedracer gave me the part #'s for and they arent the right ones.

Can anyone shine some light on this? Also, if we DO end up finding the correct part # or bolt, we should post it in the parts page because theres nothing in there about cam cap bolts, and Im sure someone will break one off in the future. Even if they are all different sizes, once we get on the right track it shouldnt be hard finding the rest of them.

Ok I called Nissanparts and talked to good ole Kenny to get these part numbers for you.

There are three different sizes. He was only able to get the part numbers for the shortest size and the middle size. The longest size which is used for the cam oilers he couldnt get.

Middle Size (the one you pictured): 13058 53J00Shortest: 13058 56E00

The short ones are like 90 something cents a pop and the middle ones are like buck 20 or something.

Hed have to order them as he does not stock them.

For this work, you still owe me a challupa

Going to Ashleys and going to enjoy really fine beer.

If you want a ride or something come by when the weather gets nicer. As of now, I have no traction until I hit 3rd gear and its not fun driving like that haha. Oh and by then I will be done with my head so you can hear what SRs sound like reving to 9000 RPM haha.
