http://www.telegraph.co.uk/new....html Women do these things a lot. And pay for it dearly as a result. A friend of mine had a bad habit of multitasking while driving. Eating a burger and shaving. While on the phone telling me what that buzzing noise is and why he eats while he drives his manual transmission Neon to work or church or the bowling alley or whatever. I have no Idea how he's been doing this for 8 years without crashing. Ladies get too caught up in their reflection (Becki ) and lose sight of the road. I eat when I drive, but usually at a red light, when its convenient.

About 12 years ago I used to do this all the time frequently eating or working while driving. One day I looked up and was going through a red light with plenty of on coming traffic. A few scary seconds later I was on the otherside of the intersection and very scared. Now for the past 12 years I just drive that is all. If I need to do something else I pull over on the side of the road or into a parking lot.

Some of the other sales staff say they use the driving time to make phone calls not me I choose life!

I drove a vanpool van for about 12 years (free ride for driver!) and saw idiots doing all sorts of strange things on the commute into CLT.

Doing 65+ while eating a bowl of cheerios! He was balancing it on the top of his steering wheel.

Still remember the M3 convertible, top down, shades on, yapping on his cell phone...doing 50MPH in a 65MPH zone and IN MY WAY!!!!

oh, and have seen flossing, shaving, make up'ing, etc....

In a recent study, the most common distraction to a driver is not cell phones or smoking. It's grooming and this doesn't just go for women (in fact, all of the participants were males).

We have a law now for cell phone usage while you drive. You only can use it with a handsfree set.

However that just made the thing worse. Before I saw people texting with the phone and hands on the top of the steering wheel. What the do now is that they resting it on their lap. Before they somewhat they looked at the roads. Well now they don't.

It is so obvious. Not sure what they think nobody can see that?
