Awesome work. I'm would hope the second swap is easier than the first.

I have a question:

Now let's say you were to leave the cowl functional, in order for it to actually cool the engine and not create drag, would you have to have an open back on it or would you have to prop the hood up with shims or something of the sort to actually let the air flow through?

Are you planning on covering up the open part of the bellhousing? I wish Mazworx would make a new plate that ships with their kit since I hate how open mine is. Mine is getting covered up but I'm sure yours will stay mostly on the street.

I like that you got those extra engine gussets mounted too.

The Mazworx kit now includes the cover for the flywheel and a cover for the starter hole. I have both covers installed now, they just weren't there in those pictures.

No way! Do you have any pictures of the covers? Are they any good?

I might have to call them tomorrow and order a set.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but they fit perfect and do their job. Just simple aluminum sheet cut to the size and pre-drilled with holes.

I just got off the phone with Mazworx and the guy said they didn't make any plates for their VHVG kits. Maybe I need to try back tomorrow and talk to somebody else.

I'm pretty sure the guy on the other end was like "Hey, it's Tyler again." ... "Tell him we don't have any." .... "Yeah sorry man, we don't make any."

Ha Ha...I guess I will call and talk to someone again tomorrow. I can't remember the owners name but he was cool when I bought the adapter.

Hey Jerry if you get too lazy and you'd rather just put them in a box I'd gladly take them!

Sorry to derail your thread Stephen.

I talked to somebody else at Mazworx and it turns out those plates are only included in the S-series swap kit and but not in the VHVG adapter kit. Doesn't make sense to me since they both need them but that's probably why you S series guys have them and I don't.

Mazworx was cool and sold them to me for $10. I already spent twice that on aluminum to make the plates!

I gotcha... sorry for the confusion. At least you got them! Mazworx is great to deal with!

It's made by SLP, you can get it from summit racing... search for SLP scoop.

Holy cow! This thread has come along way!

Nice work. I like your solution to the hole in the hood. Not a fan of scoops, but this is necessary and preferred to a hole in the hood...
