Hello, If someone could tell me or had the same problems, please, let me know what is going on.I got 2007 G35 sedan. I have to say excellent car til now. Driving as usually, no hard stuff. There is something going on with automatic transmission of the car. Couple of weeks ago I noticed that to go reverse the gear does not respond as soon as I shift it into reverse. I had to accelerate a bit harder to get response. Now the reverse is gone at all. Does not want to go backward at all only foreward. All gears foreward works perfect only reverse is gone.Fluid was topped off, car has only 20 000 miles, so what the heck.

I unddrstand that propably I will have to visit Infiniti Service but..

Does anybody can help or know what the problem might be???

Thanks

Could be the shift lever is out of alignment but there's no real way to tell...your car is still under warranty so i'd get it to the dealer asap!

Welcome to NICO!

Sorry to hear about your issues with your new G. Since it is a new car, don't hesitate to take it to the dealer. I'm not sure what would cause this problem...maybe one of our techs might know. It might be your shifter linkage...does it feel sloppy? What about the gear display, does it correctly show what gear you're in?

Yeah if you still have some warranty, you should take it in and have some fun with the loaner.

It could cause an issue but I think you would also see this in Park and it may present itself there as a starting problem.

my Infi was bought as a used car and I am not sure how the warranty will work now. I would not want to hear the story at the Infi Service that they need to change transmission.is there anybody that have similar problem that the reverse gear vanished. I have never had a such a situation before in any of my previous cars.

doesn't make a difference if you bought the car new or used...the drive train is covered until like 60k. So if they have to replace the transmission it's a good thing at this point while you're still covered. Get the free loaner and get your car fixed for free.

Unless the car has a damaged/salvaged title, you will not have any issues at a dealership. Infiniti has a 4year/60k B-B and a 7year/100k powertrain warranty.

TAKE IT TO THE DEALER~!!! Before you cause more damage and they charge you for neglect...

Don't hesitate.. The dealers get paid dollar for dollar from Infiniti Motor Corp. to replace and fix things..
