Playing IPOD video through Navi screen in 2012 Infinit M37s

I understand all that need to be happen to play video period. Being in Park and brake, and all the different ways to get around that. My quesiotn is simply why will the Video from an ipod hooked up via USB not play in newer models? I had a 2007 G35s with the old a/v hookup and it worked fine. Any ideas to get this to work properly? Please advise.

The A/V hookup is different from the USB hookup - they are different cables and each allow for different data to be transferred by the cable. The USB cable may not allow for video to be transferred, where as the A/V (audio/visual) cable would allow it to be transferred to the screen.

Any ideas on fixes or bybasses, my belief is that a flash drive works fine though?!?

Not that I know of. You could always be the test guinea pig and try to hack the system, though!

honestly try getting a new cord i have a 06 m45 with dvd in rear and had a regular av cord with the ipod connector to hook up to the bottom of the ipod but it still wouldn't show pick. i than went to apple store and brought there av cable specifically for ipod ran me $40 and picture perfect

I saw this post today and am wondering if anyone has figured out how to play iPod videos on 2011 (or 2010, 2012) Infiniti audio/video/nav systems. Thanks.

Any updates on this? Hoping to find a solution to play iPod Video through the factory iPod adapter cable... know it can be done though AUX with a/v cable... but hoping/looking for iPod control + Video output.
