I went out this morning to play in the snow. More coming this weekend. I've just talked to my friend he'll visit me on this weekend or next weekend with his STI. We'll go out play. Then It will be taped from outside. So you guys won't get dizzy.

I did the same thing with my car in summer when I needed a new set of tire.

I don't blame it on you. As I said I did not see any RWD on the road. You get loaded with snow too overthere. I went to Toronto Saturday night and when I was coming back it was snowing already.

Can't wait to see it...

I am a Phoenix, Arizona native. When I got married I moved to Kansas City for 10 months and got to drive in the snow. One morning I woke up and could not open our apartment door. The car (2001 Altima GXE) would just barely start. I drove to work slowly in complete awe of the white powder EVERYwhere. Passed one of those electronic time/temp signs it said -10 F!

I started to have fun drifting the backend of the car out on turns. Tried to make the turn into the work parking lot at ... about 30 mph. I stuck the Altima sideways into a drift about half way. My boss and 2 co-workers spent lunch trying to fish the new guy out of the drift with their trucks LOL I was buying lunch the rest of the week!

That's what you have seen. I turned off the VDC. I've been playing a lot. Actually discovered more about my car. I always thought the snow bottom doesn't do much(never used it) It is actually working. When I am doing about 30 ,If I turn it on the car doesn't accelerate that fast. I floor it and it goes up nicely. Well I turned it off and floor it again starts drifting a bit and corrects it. If I turn the VDC off and the snow bottom is on it drifts more still easyly controlable back. If I turn both off. You can do what ever you want. It goes sideway if you floor it no problem. I was looking for houses last winter in a new development. Kind of dirt road there wasn't any road built yet. We had some snow and it was actually higher a bit then the car's clearance. It wasn't the wet sticky snow. We went in and when I turned there was about 20 feet long strip it was high. I was doing about 20-30 I told my wife I'll try it. She's like you not going to make it. I just like well only way to find out. Turrned off the VDC and just floored it. Went thru no problem. I stoped on the other side it was funny all you see a shaved snow with 2 grooves in there my tires left and my body who was driving behind me with his pick up. He is just no he won't do it. He's girlfriend right beside him Oh yes he is stupid enough to do it. Yeap She was right.

I hope they don't clean everywhere this week so on the weekend I can go out and tape some.

It is wicked. That's what you expect from the wrx not from the G I only have all season tires. If I had snow tires it would be even better.

Just bought a 03 Coupe and tried to drive it in the recent snow...NO GO! Couldn't get up my drive, had to shut off VDC so I could get enough momentum. Finally got it back to the garage and parked it. Now I have snow tires (Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D) and I am ready for the next time it snow (I think). My question...what is the "snow button" zozo is talking about?!?

I have an X and have a snow bottom. For snowy driving condition. I can turn it on and .. you get the point. I just explained it earlier.

Yup... I lease them because I write the whole thing off for work.

But... I want to test out the GTR when it comes out... I may just flip over if I like it. Not first year though.

Yeah first year is always scary with all the crap. But nissan is not too bad. They had couple of new in the last 5-6 years and nothing major screw up. Like forgot to put oil cooler in the car or something stupid like that.

Second year would be perfect. Also probably you can see clearly how well it does in snow too. It should do better then your coupe. I hope they don't jack up the price for it in our lovely country. As they do to all other cars.

Dealer in Oakville where I bought my G has already sold two GTRs. Basically two customers who came in and handed over $88,000 with no guarantee that they will actually get the car. The number of GTRs allocated to any dealership, at least here in Canada, is based on their Z sales as well as a commitment of $100,000 for shop retooling costs. A separate bay is required exclusively for the GTR.
