We had a good dumping of snow last night so I decided to go out and have some fun with the awd this morning. I love my car!

Play safe!

Factory all seasons. Car now has almost 300kms on it and today was a great day to test the awd. When do you pick up your car?

Feels quite different when compared to a vehicle with a transfer case. A couple of times the computer just shut me down (no throttle) when I was accelerating too much going around a corner but the car did grip quite well. I suspect the traction would be even better with snow tires. I did try the snow mode and could tell a difference immediately. I turned it off when I got to 20kmh or so. I suspect the snow button is similar to that of a 4 wheel drive "low" gear on 4x4s. I'll have to look that one up in the manual.

great thanks so much for the response, makes me less anxious about using the all seasons in the snow. I know zozo said it was ok but the more the merrier esp people in similar snowy conditions, i am in ottawa btw.

Wow what did I miss guys. I went out playing a bit and come back and can't see the end of the thread. EH.

Hey Daniel I told you we crazy canucks know how to roll on All season tires. You should be fine too. But yeah winter tires are better. Only thing I hate with winter tires when the road is clear and going on any 400 they are loud.

Beezer I am close to Toronto 40 minutes. We can arrange a meet probably next year. Maybe this year with snow drifting hahahah.

Today was awesome. Nobody on the road and Zozo just going and going. My wife told me we should go shoping. She was sitting right beside me and just shaked her head. She said I am worst then my son. Snow and my eyes just wooohooo lets go play. Everybody tried to avoid the big snow banks and here I am just telling my wifey oh look that road isn't plowed yet. Whosh I turn hehehehehe.

I even stopped when I seen couple of guys/girls stuck in the snow and helped them out by pushing them not with my car just with hands.

Lots of fun.

Hey Willie. Don't feel bad about the weather you have. I learned to enjoy the 4 season. There is more variety of fun. Sure there are days when I wish I moved to the sunny Cali but then I think again and it is all good. How would I go skying and snow mobiling and just put the snow shoes on and get out with my son in warmer climate. I would have to travel and do it. See The weather comes to us we don't have to travel. I would say ice skating but god is my witness I am so sucky on skates. My son well he is a different story.

I can't imagine Xmas without snow. I remember one of my friend's first winter here in Canada. He is from Africa he never seen snow before. He was so excited about it. I happened to see the first moment of it. He run out and opened his arms looked up the sky and opened his mouth to taste the snow. I think that was pretty cool. He stayed like that for quite awhile. Sure next day he's got cold and sneeze and all the goodies. He learned fast.

Anyways that was like 5 years ago.

Sorry for the long thread. My adrenalin is still sky high.

62 Degrees!!!! How do you manage with that kind of winter wonderland? We got below 80 degrees yesterday, so I had to hang the Christmas lights with a T-shirt on... I was still sweating, but it was a balmy 78 degrees!

I lived in the cold mid-west for 28 years and would never go back... you guys and your snow must be in your blood, cause I would much rather have my sunroof open than have my seat warmers on...

You guys be safe out there in the winter months... too many people don't know how to drive in that crap, but being experienced in snowy driving is always fun! ENJOY!

I think I speak for all of us in Arizona when I say WHAT THE HELL is all the white stuff on your cars

The next 6 months are the reason I live in AZ. Until mid May it will be high 60's to low 80's with 0% humidity!

Then we have 3 months of HELL 115 + every day. Then August brings the monsoons and the free worlds best lighting shows. http://www.azcentral.com/weather/monsoon/

Then in September is USUALLY is back into the 80's

So IF you can survive the 3 summer months of hellish heat, I'm talking about creeping on the freeway and the car says its 126 degrees, then Arizona is the best state! San Deigo is 5 hours away from my house, the beach in Purto Penasco (Rocky Pointe) is 3 hours away. We have Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Flagstaff is a 2.5 hour drive away and has snow skiing 2-3 months of the year.

Phoenix has 3 medium size lakes within 30 miles of downtown and over 150,000 registered watercraft. Since it doesn't get too cold here you can enjoy the lakes year round. I have been water skiing and jet skiing in February LOL

We have Phoenix International Raceway (NASCAR) for top speed racing and TWO 1/4 mile drag strips at opposite ends of town.

About the only thing that does suck is to get to the caribean I have to fly to Houston/Dallas or Miami first. But when I go to Hawaii I can get a straight shot and sometimes upgrade to first class for $150

Enjoy your cold weather boys, if I want to see snow I'll drive north about 2 hours.

I checked out this post expecting to see pictures or videos of G35s actually playing in the snow - what was I thinking???

Here is a picture of me NOT playing in the snow with the G.
