As a soon to be G37 owner, changing from an Acura TL, I have a collection of DVD-Audio discs from the Acura's surround sound system that won't be usable in the new car.

With that said, there is a spot to plug in a portable DVD player. My question is this.......while I don't want to 'trick' the system into playing the video through the navigation screen, will it continue to play the audio tracks while the car is moving? This way I'll at least get continued use from the discs.

Thanks in advance.

DVD-Audio is not just the audio track from a DVD...you need a special player that is capable of playing the disks. (similar to SACDs)

But will it play the audio track from ANY DVD if the car is moving? I don't care about the picture.
