I understand that there have been several, in fact many post about the keyless remotes in 90-96 Q45's. I searched them all and couldnt find any information on FCC ID's. What I need to know is if a remote with the FCC ID: A269ZUA078 will work on my 96 Q45 which has a factory remote with the FCC ID: A269ZJA073.

The reason I ask this is because I purchased a used remote off of ebay that was supposed to be the same FCC ID as my original but wasn't. I have tried to program it but was unsuccesful. Either the remote won't work or its bad.

Now I'm curious. There are remotes that "beep?" Do they beep when the buttons are depressed? Are these factory remotes or aftermarket?

I had an old remote that was an --073 that beeped, it died..... My current one is a --073 but it doesnt beep... Im pretty sure the --078 will work with the later Q45s... Meaning 95 and 96.....

My 1995 Q45 beeping remote stopped beeping at one point and the Infiniti dealer service guy told me that this was a common flaw in them. And there was no way to fix it.

I sold the car, so I do not have the remote and cannot tell you its FCC ID.

Here are specifics on the remotes for my 96 Q

FCC ID: A269ZUA073 Non-BeepingFCC ID: A269ZJAO73 Beeps when button is pushed (Remote beeps, not the car)

Picked up the second on Ebay and took it to the Infiniti dealer where they have a meter you place the remote onto and confirm it is properly sending signals - then it is just finding the proper NICO thread and programming away.

I have a 1994 Q45a The FOB had beeped for a while.

It stopped beeping a month or two ago I don't know why I thought it was from my 1 1\2yr old son's drool. but it might be a intacator that the batterys are dying.

I have not used it much as of late because I have installed a Alarm\Remote Starter in my Q.

The FOB has an LCD and 6 Aux outputs for Acc's like sunroof or all windows down or up or whatever you can install that needs a 12v trigger from .1 - 120 Sec 12 volt pulse .

My girl has my Infiniti FOB on her keys for back up.

I'll post the FCC ID when she gets home later.

So, does my 93 Q have keyless? I have no remote, just a key. Thats how I bought the car.

A word to the "wise": don't take a picture with the flash on at night when you are doing 20MPH!

Also, where are your hands?

Also, you put the steering wheel cover on upside-down. The grips(smooth parts) are supposed to be more towards the top! But as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

What year is your Q45? I just noticed the Mirror. Is that OEM or Aftermarket? If aftermarket, plaese give a little more info.

I think that Wes said that the 93 and early Q45s didn't come with Keyless. And as we all know, Wes is always right

Keyless didnt start till 94... IF you have the owners manual it will have a section on the remote, but im pretty sure the 94s got the tilt down mirrors and the RKE.....
