Got an email from GROM Audio that they have started a Kickstarter campaign for an adapter to allow you to play music from your Android phone on your car via a USB port. I know myself and many others have been looking for this very product for years (since I bought my 2010 G37x, in fact), and have tried a number of the other alternatives that have been linked here in various posts to no avail. Here's hoping this one actually solves the problem!
