Play in shifter

I just got my 91 240sx and the only problem is theres quite a bit of play in the shifter. Its not so bad to where i'm missing shifts, i just would like to fix it. My first thougt when buying the car was to just replace it w/ a short shifter. But I can't decide which one to go for, so i was thinkin about just fixing the problem. I'm assuming its a bushing of some sort, but i'm not sure....Can ne 1 help me?

Also, if i do just replace it, what is a good short shifter? I was thinkin about just getting the solid nismo shifter cuz to me that would be exactly wut i want. I just want percise shifting w/o noise. thanx.

There is a little bushing at the bottom of the shifter where it sticks into the transmission you can replace,Its very easy to do,and that sould fix it.I paid like $2.00 for the part at Nissan.

I have a OBX short shifter I like it alot but it does make alot of nosie.You sould go for the B&M.It cost's much less then the Nismo.

Here is a link although it doesn't specifically say that it will fit the KA models of the 240sx. Part#45088 is the correct model. Very precise shifter.
