KJ is 100% correct, issue with one of the three. Good luck!KJSmitty wrote:Well,
That basically leaves you with two/three possible issues:
1. Something wrong with your Mo.2. Something wrong with your source/DVD player.3. Something wrong with your audio/video cables.
Bottom line, it should work as advertised in your SL w/nav as it does in the other models etc.
Hmmm, have you tried your DVD and cables on another display device lately? Do you have another or friends DVD/source etc that you could try in your SL? If your dealer was nearby I would ask to try your DVD in another Mo as well to help narrow it down.
Good luck
Sweet! I am glad it was something so simple!galway1956 wrote:guys, thanks for the help,i tried a different set of cables and we are in business
First off, welcome to the Murano Forum, the staff here at NICOclub is thrilled to have you as another member.adubravcic wrote:Timmbo and KJSmitty,I am about to attempt this mod because i want my wife to enjoy movies on long trips, but i have a few questions before trying. Would using this method make the system think that the car is not moving while the video is on? would that mean that the mileage reading would be incorrect and will therfore mess up all my maintenance reminders? becasue i read on this website that it may if you use the technology from this site:http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/6is that the same technology you will be using for bypassing the VSS speed sensor?
Teammcw, you mentioned you were going to try to do this while preventing the warranty to be void, have you been successful? is it possible to buy the exact complete same harness so that when you take your car for warranty you can just replace the modified one with the new harness end-to-end?
Thanks for any support
Regards,Tonchy
I would be glad to help you in person, but I am in Green Bay!!!!!!MuranoEggman wrote:IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE (OR SOMEONE YOU CAN RECOMMEND) IN THE VA, MD OR DC AREA THAT COULD ASSISTANT ME WITH THIS MODIFICATION?
I live in Northern Virginia and purchased a switch from Shane, but wanted to know if anyone could provide some assistance with this type of MOD.
Thanks.
CONFIRMED! The "mod" does NOT affect the MPG, or your maintenance schedule. The only thing I can find that changes when you flip the switch is that the SSV (speed sensitive volume) does not function, but who cares when you are watching the movie. Once you flip the switch back to normal, things are all good.MuranoEggman wrote:IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE (OR SOMEONE YOU CAN RECOMMEND) IN THE VA, MD OR DC AREA THAT COULD ASSISTANT ME WITH THIS MODIFICATION?

So has anyone done this with their 2010 LE with NAV model? A pic by pic walk through would be wonderfulTimmbo wrote:Here are KJSmitty's photos:
Remember, these are pictures of a NON-NAV model, the wiring harnesses are different on the Nav model!
Our LE is a non-navi yet from what I understand, while watching video - IE mod switch on, your Navi will be in "time-out." So no, it will not continue to give you directions. That is why the switch is important for you Navi owners, so you can switch it off to have your navi "catch up" and give you data when needed etc.adubravcic wrote:another thing that worries me is if you will still get directions from your nav system in the background like when you are listening to music. anybody has done this on a model with navigation?
thanks for the help
