I had a neighborhood cat push my back window apart from the bottom of the back of my top. I've been quoted 500 bucks to have it sewn back in. Any suggestions on what kind of tape to use? I don't wanna be another one of those ugly convertibles with tape all over the outside, so I want to use it on the inside.

the window itself is fine. The stitching on the lower part came off. The window is only a few years old. I was told by one place that the entire top has to be removed to sew it back in and since the top is 15 years old it will probably be ruined in the process thus needing replaced as well. The top is starting to get old so I know it wouldn't survive it. I'm going to try some sort of waterproof tape and silicone. If that doesn't work I'll probably just get rid of the car and find a normal s13.

Who wants a "normal" car? You now own an extremely rare 240sx convert! Get the top fixed and spit on all your friends as you drive by them with your top down.....

I know I can buy the top off the net for pretty cheap, but I have no idea how to install it. I saw somewhere that you have to staple certain places.
