Plastic Trim Maintenance

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So after two years of having the EX the plastic trim was looking like it needed a little attention. It just looked a little dull, so I washed the car myself this weekend (usually go to the car wash once a week) and waxed it. I started to shine the tires with Armor All's Extreme Tire Shine Gel and accidentally got some on the plastic trip around the wheel well. After trying to wipe it off it really did not come off but it looked great on the trim and really brought it back to life. I know there are products out there for plastic trim specifically but never bothered with them... should I keep going with the Armor All product (meant for tires) or should I get something else (suggestions welcomed)?

Should be fine.
I have Zaino Z16 for tires and I also use it on the exterior plastic trim. Looks great! I used armor all products on my tires before and they always felt a little greasy. Zaino really is the perfect tire gloss. Give it a shot if you can find it.

Would you believe that a lot of the detailing guys love using 303 Aerospace Protectant for this?

I just ordered a bottle of 303, I see you can use this on the inside as well, and leaves a nice matted finish.
Thanks for the tip.
