I have had my 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT for about 2 days now. So far I am very happy with it, but I have noticed that my feet sometimes get caught on the plastic trim piece beneath the steering wheel when moving from the throttle to the brake. I looked around the footwell and the trim piece appears it is attached correctly (car only has 12,000 miles). I only wear a size 8 1/2 shoe so I wonder if anyone else has this problem? Short of cutting the trim piece is there a solution?

I did lots of searching, but it seems most people are only concerned about putting lighting in their footwells...
