ok i have the wack h6054 sealed beams for my s13 right. and i am too cheap to buy a hid kit so i am buying some new euro h6054 beams and then i am going to replace the wack h4 bulbs that they come with, with some piaa h4s. my question is should i get the plasma h4 or the super white platinum h4s?i don't care about some blue hue or anything like that, just bright a$$ lights. sorry about the mega long post but thanks for reading:)

the only way how you are going to get those "bright a s s" lights (to my knowledge) is to get the HID kit.

thanks for the reply. ok i don't need true hid, just something a lot brighter than my sealed beams that as far as i can tell, have been in there for fourteen years. my lights really suck.

you can get brighter lights don't get me wrong it just that those lights where made for HID's am I correct? Since they are euros i would beleive so but i could be worng. I would say super whites on;y b/c I think the plasam lights carry a discharger which would require the HID system then again i could be worng. good luck with your thread!

Although the euro cut lights are better than the sealedbeam, but they don't seem to throw the beam out right. the light seems all over the place and not concentrated on the road. IMO.

Actually, the Sylvania Silverstars are brighter than the PIAA's and they're cheaper, and DOT approved.

Anytime you try to go brighter, you have to increase wattage. Then you (at worst) cook your wiring harness OR (at best) your bulbs don't last very long. So stick with the factory wattage.

If your housings are plastic, there are companies that do plastic chrome plating - I'm not familiar with the construction of the 240 housings, but that's one way to change the dispersion of light - Plus, it might look cool.... :D

point taken, but the piaa "whites" are 55 watt with supposed 85 output(whateveer that means). i'll also look into the sylvanias. i was just going with piaa b/c i thought they made the best bulbs for cheap.as i am a cheapskate:D

240 pa - Roll over to the Infiniti forums and do a search for "bulbs". Got some expert testimony over there that should "enlighten" you (bad joke, eh).

p.s The sylvania's are WAY cheaper than the PIAA's.

http://www.autodynamic.com These guys sell piaa blubs and have a nice comparision between the different piaa's. Check it out, it's worth a look. I bought a pair of xtreme white Piaa H4 for my S14 and it was worth it. Nice and bright without the HID kit cost.

holistic, i looked at that website and i think i'm going to go the ebay route b/c they usually have the super extreme platinum series bulbs for like $50.00. thanks for the help though, it actually is a good site to visit.

well i finally installed some piaa super bright platinum bulbs and some corny diamond headlamps in my car. the lamps reflact light everywhere and they suck terribly but the piaa bulbs make everything look great. i drove in the darkest wooded roads in se. pa and the lows are fine but the highs look like day time. piaa is definitely worth their price.

ya you should just get a reg h4 convo, and then replace the wiring harness with a nicer one or make one out of higher gauge audio cable (shouldnt take too long), then run 200 watt bulbs. thatll make it brighter. . .
