Hi im about to start my Rb25det swap into my 91 coupe. I just want to double check some things and be sure im making a good decision.

First off ive decided to purchase my clip from venus auto. The install kit from mackinney and ill probally get the wiring done at ustable-hybrids. Heres a few questions ive been wondering and cant find with the searches ive done....

Do i automatically have to have a fmic or will the clip come with a stock one?

Will i need to move the battery to the trunk if so what are your recommendations for a kit?

Is there anything i should change right from the start? (clutch, anything).

What mods will have to be done to the tach to show proper revs?

Will the ac work? Is it worth it?

:help

any help will be nice. This probally sounds really newbish but i tried doing searches on here and zilvia.

Thanks again -Brian:oface

At least check the clutch.. Change the timing belt unless your sure of the miliage. You need to move the battery to the trunk. If you want to keep the stock gauges we have adapters for tack and speedo so they work. Stock SMIC is usually ok if you running the engine stock Piping will have to be mod'd to fit. Yeah i looked at the pics, there great. Did you purchase the engine through mckinney too? What was the total on the entire swap?

What are some good battery relocation kits that you'd recomend? How much was the fmic and piping and all that?

thanks....

Screw AC!!!!

You live in the most beautiful city in the world (I am from San Diego too, I just dont live there now....DAMN the Air Force). I cant ever remember running my AC while I lived there. It may have been hot, but yet it was cool. Anyhow, I just thought i would throw that in. As far as AC, Im sure there is a way you could keep it. Ask Night
