planning to get 17X9 +20

I'm planning on purchasing a set of 17x9 +20 wheels. I have KYB AGX and Eibach Sportlines. would I run into fitment issues?

Nope. You're golden.

255/40/17's should do the trick if you want max grip.

255 will be tough to fit, especially in the front of an s13. You'll need to run something like a 235 probably all around, unless you want to do some significant fender work.

What wheels are you planning on getting? I know the Falken Hanabi and FN01R-C come in that size.

i have the hanabis in 17x9 +20 all around. however, i have a 25mm spacer in the rear.i am running 235/40 all around for now.i bet you could fit a 255 in front. maybe not with the spring/strut combo. you would need camber plates to dial in camber to -2.5* or so.
