Good day, Friends,

I am planning to buy White 2009 G37S in US and it's a manual. I have two concerns:

1. I liked pearl white G37 over Black G37 (though, both looks beautiful to me) but, all my friends are suggesting to go for black color? Whats your opinion?

2. it's a manual and my friends are saying manual would be a head ache to drive specially in traffic but my believe is, its good to have manual for a high speed car such as Infiniti G37.

I need your suggestions.

Thanks.
Shuj

Depends on where you live.. If LA or SF, I would get automatic anyday, stuck in traffic for 2 hours, and trying to shift gears.. no fun!

Unless you (like me) absolutely must have a manual transmission, there are two reasons to favor an automatic. If you spend a lot of time in stop and go traffic, an automatic is much easier to live with and will last longer than a clutch. The other reason is that the G37X (all wheel drive) only comes with an automatic. I have found that my G37S doesn't have very good traction at the rear. As a result, I never turn off VDC. The G37X loaners from the dealer's service department don't have this problem.

Black is a PITA to look after. My Blue Slate is almost as bad. It's visibly dusty after a few days sitting at home in the garage. White would be much easier.

The 7AT transmission is faster in the 1/4 than someone with a manual. Of course, with the automatic, you get times when it's hunting for the right gear.

Black is awesome when clean but not much fun when it starts getting dirty.
