91 Hardbody with 100,000 miles. Well taken care of. The only problems is the interior. Seats need replacing, dash is dry and breaking apart, and the locks are broken. I can literally go to his house right now and open the door. lol.

He lowered this truck before but got stuck several times so he brought it back up.

With the interior that needs fixing, will it be easy to find parts for? Is there a special forum or site that shows me tips & tricks, parts, tutorials and other stuff about hardbodies?

Anything I need to know before I plan on about purchasing this truck? He was trying to sell it for $2500 but since he's a close friend he said $2000. But I told him to check kbb.com, because kbb is giving a 1,000-1,400 price range.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

Buying a modified truck can lead to headaches down the line, why else would a truck like that be sold? As for info on Hardbodies this is the place! Parts for that truck shouldn't be too hard to find as they shared interiors with early model Pathfinders. People have even done dash swaps with the later 94-97 models. I do like the color and rims, body wise it seems straight.

So where would I go if I need to buy a new lock mechanism for this truck? That's the first thing I would get it, if I got the truck.

Yea it was modified but I know everything was done right. Luckily I know him.

Grab a couple of doors from a junk yard and get the locks and latches out of them. Have you tried lubing the hell out of the current locks?

Dealer key set is about $175, I checked because the ign and door keys don't match on my 95. The door locks on my 96 don't work at all.

As long as it runs as nice as it looks and drives well. I would think $1,700.00 would be a fair price with the low miles.

check ths out guys. I went to the pull-a-part down here and took a few keys the were still in the trucks at the junkyard, then i walked around until I found door locks that they worked in. I got one out of a pathy and one out of a HB. One key worked ind several trucks. Got the locks and keys for $10. You got to love the junkyard.

locks seats and dash can be junkyard stuff. if you have a pull a part junk yard near you seats are 22 bucks each for buckets and I got a set of leather ones from path finder that bolt in perfect. You could get seats dash and lock parts for less than 150 bucks, you may have to hunt the yard for a while to get it all but the locks are always there and you can live with seats and dash until one rolls in.

On the locks most likely you keyed part is fine it is the mechanism behind it that is broken like mine was and I kept my key hole and just replaced the parts in the door to fix it.

Looks great. Work a bit on the price. I'm sure a hand full of cash will soften the deal.
