Hello everybody,I need advice for setting up a turbo on my stock 240sx. The car is a daily driver but will see some autocrossing on the weekends. I would like to install turbo on my car. I see some Turbo Kits on Ebay but not sure which one to buy. My question is what Turbo kit should i buy and what labor hours am i looking at to install one. My engine will be totally stock. Any brand names or manufacturers do you guys have used? How much am i looking at to spend? Please advise.

If you want to do it right, it'll cost about 3-5k to get the engine running reliably. If you do a hack job, it can cost under $1k.

You're looking at least a weekend's worth of labor to get your car turbo'd. If you plan to autocross, I'd do a T28 turbo or a small T3 due to the better low end response needed for autoxing.

This is typically regarded as the best starter kit. You'll see that you still need some sort of fuel management and possibly injectors along with stuff like an exhaust, intercooler, fuel pump and other odds and ends.

If your into auto-x'ing you might want to see what classes you'll be bumped up to with a turbocharger. You might get better results out of putting all that money into suspension and tires...
