I just finished the Hard difficulty 1v2 "Outmatched" achievement (defeat 2 allied Hard AI, alone). Terran makes it cake. Turtling capability has gotten insane.

Strategy:
--Novice Twilight Fortress (for a single common entrance to lots of expansions and rocks to help survive the initial assault)
--3 Planetary Fortresses with Hi-Sec Auto Tracking and Building Armor upgrades.
--Around the Fortresses, arrange Bunkers, filled with Marines and Marauders (concussive shells upgrade, plus infantry weapons upgrade, and neosteel frame for 6 slots).
--Also dot some turrets around, as a Zerg enemy will be smart enough to use Corruption on Hard.
--Throw about 4 SCVs on auto-repair and space them out effectively to keep your defenses up.
--Once turtled, tech to Battlecruisers and fully upgrade them (all the damn way).

I did not lose a SINGLE structure with this strategy. Not even so much as a missile turret or a bunker. Those Planetary Fortresses are EVIL AS HELL. Splash damage is nasty and 3-cannons worth of it concentrated on one ramp is just too much. The enemy army never fully committed to an assault, always turning around after losing a bunch of troops in the first second or so of an attempt.

Biggest problem was the enemies getting new bases down after I killed one because they'd get a probe or drone past that I couldn't catch (damn BCs are slow). I decided to ignore offensive units (since I could afford to sacrifice battlecruisers if necessary and just crank out more) and focus on taking out Nexus/Hive and workers specifically. They both had pretty good economies built up when I killed their base centers, and still crapped out units. Happily for me Hard AI is still pretty stupid and kept building Immortals, Zealots, Roaches, and Brood Lords (?!?!?!?!!?!!!!???????).

And DAMN but Corruptors can take a beating.

Twilight Fortress is a 2v2 map, with 2 allied starting areas right next to each other, and 1 natural expansion for each starting area, all up on high ground accessed by a single wide ramp. So once you get your ramp fortified, you're free to fill all 4 spots without additional risk, providing you with plenty of income.

Planetary fortresses ftw.
If the expansion is easy to guard, make it an Orbital Command, if it's kind of far, make it a Planetary Fortress.
Splash damage ftw!

I wish you could downgrade and then re-upgrade command centers. If I'm playing TvT I'll usually go Planetary Fortress at my first base to counter Reaper raids. It'd be nice to swap to Orbital Command at the midgame.
