Okay guys this is the plan so far, and before I get flamed I'm posting this for negative and positive feed back and other's opinions that know more than me about the VQ.

Intake - Nismo (already ordered)Headers - Thinking about Megan Racing... opinionsTest Pipes - Open to suggestionsExhaust - No idea... going to nopi for some... but I do want a true duel exhaust I know that muchBump Sticks - JWTPulleys - UnorthidoxClutch - Spec 2 I guessFlywheel - Open to suggestionsSuspension - NismoWheels - 5Zigen FN01R-C 18 x 8.5F 18x9.5RTires - BFG KDW 255/35 F 275/35 R - Will the front work?Exterior - Clear Corners and possibly a Nismo spoiler

Ok in purchasing order it will be:

Intake, Clear Corners, Wheels Tires, Suspension, Headers/Test Pipes/Exhaust all in one whack, Pulleys, Bump Sticks, clutch/flywheel, and then maybe the spoiler.

Okay remember "constructive critisim" and also if anyone out there has sim. mods what power are you putting down or does anyone have a guestimate on the numbers these would produce??

Should be pretty decent....always good to plan ahead of time though

I was kicking around modification ideas at work today looking at a Z33 in the bay next to me and thinking what I'd do with one. Pretty sure I'll be picking one up next year.

Intake - I use the K&N typhoon, most any are good, i just happened to get mine for 100 bucks and barely used.Headers - Any equal length will do, i have top speedTest Pipes - hmm..i've heard of some cracking, APS i hear is good.Exhaust - NismoBump Sticks - JWTPulleys - Have no experience with them to know for sure.Clutch - NismoFlywheel - Jun or NismoSuspension - HKS hypermax II, i still have stock, but have driven Zs with it and i plan to go this routeWheels - whatever you like, i like the black rota P45R, but lighter is better but $$$$.Tires - I use falken azenis RT615 autocross and track days, and have KDWs and Yoko AVS ES100s for street both are goodExterior - I don't have a preference lots of good stuff out there

Brakes?? Stoptech SS brake lines are great, i use Hawk 9012 blue brake pads for racing, and HPS and nismo on the street

Plenum??..i have kinetix V+...uh don't do that one..it sounds great, looks crappy, i've heard they can crack. I havent experienced this on my car..but it expands alot when revving. As i side note i have a friend with the spacer and he fit the factory strut bar on top by adjusting it. I recomend spacers.Or the full motordyne upper and lower plenum if $$ is no object.

Nismo Intake- you will loose HP, JWT popcharger is the only one that has shown small HP gains.Meagan Racing? dont put that on your Z, Nismo, Top Secret, Strup.Exhaust-if you want a nice true dual HKS HI Power.APS Test PipesJWT clutch flywheel combo is nice, leave off the pulleys there have been a few crankshaft failures with LW pullies and then you add the LW flywheel recipe for disaster. On your tires.......245/40 and 275/40 will work great, basically keeps the same rolling diameter as the stock ones.BFG KDs are better tires. It is very doubtful that you will make any noticeable HP with bolt ons, personally I would so suspension and save for FI.

Isnt the JWT just a beefed up stocker. Also other intakes have made small amounts of power besides the JWT pop charger. I know the K&N did. I have seen some lose power as well. But you know dynos and thier accuracy. You don't have to spend top dollar on things that are just bolt on if you don't want to. I didn't spend hardly anything on my exhaust. I was putting on Turn downs on my car, and without an exhaust i can't feel a gain...so my exhaust must be pretty good.

Don't comprimise, tires, suspension, Clutch, or flywheel. Headers you don't have to go all out any decent equal lentght will do. I hear the strup is good fitment as recomended. The intake could be left stock if you aren't doing it for show.

I already got the Nismo intake... I honestly don't understand how it would loose power taking and lowering the intake to take in colder denser air and not decressing the diameter of the pipe, but that's just me.

I looked at some cars with the intake spacer on it and decided against it. I don't like how I will loose my strut bar asthetics/ridgeness of the car. I figure that instead of paying 250ish for an intake plenum spacer I figure that will go towards the fund for an Kenetics Intake manny.

Exhaust- this is another reason I went to nopi and unfortunatley I didn't get to see/hear the HKS but I'm still considering going with it. Either that or the Greedy Evo system but then again I'm still faced with the y pipe issue.

As far as headers go I have pretty much written of the Megan as an option. After more thought I don't see how they can be 1/3 of the price but still offer the same gains as the higher priced or the same reliablity.

Got the clears in but not installed been occupided by zoo trips with the kids and what not lol. But no biggie. Also thinking of tinting my tail lights... suggestions on this more than welcome. Finnally as far as asthetics go I'm also considering having my headlights color coated (silver) like the black car had his done. One major reason for this is it will eliminate the orange color completely on the car, but I'm affaid that it might give my car a wierd kinda look with it being silver... oppinions??
