so, 4 weeks ago one of those hoses bursted on me, i had to tow my car home, it was the one undernedth the intake manifold. last weekend another hose burst on me, the one under the throttle body. This week, I got another one. i think it's time to replace all of them.

since majority of them are pre-molded, are there USDM swap over parts for these, or... how to mold your own hose?

I never liked the idea of all those hoses under there. Its just asking for problems like you've had, and I've had this happened to me before as well.

^I'm in the process of doing the above, with a reducer for the turbo coolant line.

I'd think the FWD CA18DET would have the same hoses, but I'm not 100% sure as some of them had the weird, over-the-top manifold like the RB25's.

A few of the FWD drive ones might be the same, but I really doubt it from what I've seen.. I've looked over a few FWD RN13 Pulsars with CA16/18DE and there's not much to get except cams and front pulley most of the time.

Don't go down the FWD route.

What about the Ebay set of Silicon ones? I've thought about doing that. I'm using a 1 inch heater hose on one of my oil returns from cam covers to oil filter, I know it's not going to last forever.. that's why I'm thinking of going the ebay set.

I have replaced every single one of the sob's on the side of the road multiple times. You just have to go to autozone or where ever and get the same size hosing and use it. You will not find the molded rubber one with angles like you would have from the factory. But you can use the straight pieces for a few of the lines that need replacing. ALOT of them f"ing suck to get to with the engine in the car and after 20 years of the clamps being on the hose ends some will prove very very agrivating. (esp. the ones on the back of the engine between the firewall and the top of the transmission. You need a stubby phillips(or at least mine did) to get that one off. I ended up using some KA24 molded hosing with the 90's in it for some of the front lines. Get creative though. I should have just done the eliminations before hand, would have saved me a lot of time.....
