Well, it is part vegetable, part dairy, and part grain. I am sure it doesnt have a full serving of meat, even though sometimes pizza can have meat.

You know, we used to worry about our federal agencies being too cozy with the regulated entities. Now the regulated entities just bypass them completely.

This is funny, I dont know how I missed this post. Congress absolutely did NOT declare pizza to be a vegetable. They did, however, declare the sauce component to be a vegetable. Was it still a complete waste of congressional docket time? Hell yes. But still, lets make sure not to get too hyperbolic with it. I remember recently reading a Chef Boyarde can, and they also claim to have a complete vegetable serving included, again in the sauce component. I've even remember seeing somewhere that ketchup can constitute a vegetable serving. I dont know what the accuracy of any of these claims are. Sauce, especially in prefabbed food, is cooked down and strained so heavily, I would imagine alot of the nutritional component is lost. Still I wonder what basis in fact the claims could hold.
