Oooohh. I LIKE!

Those rims are very unique - I'd like to find a chromed set so I could swap from time to time... :D

My name is Greg and I'm a Q45 addict... :(

Aren't those Y34 (2nd generation) rims?

The age old question of how many generations, huh?

Some folks on the board refer to 90-93 as Gen1, 94-96 as Gen2, so therefore 97 would be a Gen3 Q.

That's the year these came from. They were off of one with the touring package.

They're from a 97-98 "t" model. 99-01 (I'm pretty sure) went to the 17" 5-spoke for the "t" and the 16" 20-slot for all other models..

Yeah that's the problem. There were at least four variations of Generation 1, two of Generation 2, and already two of Generation 3. Ultimately, year , Nissan chassis model and trim model with options (1995 Q45t G50 without traction) is the only way to specify with any accuracy the general characteristics of the car.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

All 1990-1996 Q45 is a G50. The 1997 Q45 (Q41?) was a Y33. I think the designation changed to Y34 for the 1999 model year, but those more knowledgeable will correct me. The 2002 on is an F50.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

BTW guys, what is the name of this paint color? Can you tell from the picture? I think it may be the "champagne". I am not sure exactly, as I can't find it written anywhere on the car.

I've always wondered what the official name of that color is. It's the same color as my 95: I wasn't wild about it at first, but it's grown on me. I think a big part of it is the quality of paint Infiniti used. It's amazing how much nicer the paint on my 9 year old Q45 is relative to most new cars. It has amazing depth and clarity when it's clean and waxed.

I have an original 95 brochure, I have been holding the paint chips up to the screen (feeling stupid as I do so) It is either Ivory Quartz or Beige Pebble. Gimme a big close up pic and I can do better. Ivory quartz is NOT a white, it leans to the beige color, beige pebble is basically a gold champagne color. Ivory Quartz is listed as a pearl color and Beige pebble as a metallic. Ivory Quartz is listed as being available with beige and white interior, and beige pebble with only beige interior. If you've got a black interior, the color is silver crystal. The color code is listed somewhere on a plate either on the door or in the engine compartment. I don't rmrmber which. Call any dealer or bodyshop to decode the number, or gimme that BIG picture in good lighting.

Viper - Mine is Ivory Pearl Quartz...

IPQ is a metallic paint, BTW. It also has pearl added. It's a 3-stage paint: Base metallic, pearl overcoat, and clearcoat.

It's not Ivory Quartz. It's much whiter than that, so it must be Beige Pebble.

There is NO color lighter than IPQ offered for the Q, except white (cotton something?)... The Beige color is darker than IPQ.

I have seen your color A LOT here in Phoenix (very popular color in the southwest) and it is indeed the beige pebble as EWT says (darker than IPQ).

Very soon Iguess. Wanted to tint it first. :) I've already spent a good deal on preventive maintenance. If everything goes good with my contract next month tint is going to be done.

Took it to the stargazing party in the central Texas this weekend. Every time I can say only - buttery smooth-smooth ride. I had no problem following my buddy's Subaru WRX (no racing though :) Had a chance to test new tires: going back at 2am on country road two armadillos were crossing the way. I hit the brakes as soon as my lower beams snatched them out of the black hole darkness. I stopped when they were right under my front axle. Frightened they retreated jogging back to the fields. Several feet more - they'd end up under my right rear wheel. :)
