Whats up everyone!! whats up to Nistech too.

My car, 90 infiniti m30 with the vg30e.

Sorry this is simple for you guys, but I SUCK at wiring issues.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

PUSH BUTTON IGNITION.

Well, I've had an ignited push button ignition for a long time just chilling (it was outta my EK civic) and I wanted to use it in the future, but not knowing which car to put it in. Since the M30 is my "project car", i wanted to install this. I had a race shop install the button a few years back...

I am not a wiring guy, so thats why this is here.

Here are the install instructions.

http://www.ignitedperformance.com/pushbutton.pdf

It says wires 1 and 4 (top wires)," splice into a 12 volt source (when key is in on position)"

How would know which wire to use when the ignition is on?

The other part is Part is for the e-brake feature (button will not work with out e brake being up). chek the anti grind feature.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My problem is not sure of the wiring to install a pivot speed meter.

here are the instructions.

http://www.pivotusa.com/instal...x.pdf

In the top right corner, they have the basic wiring guide.

red to IG 12vblack to groundgreen to computer side speed signalwhite to body harness side of speed signal

What is the color of the speed wire of the ecu, if any?

Thanks guys.. sorry I suck at wiring Nissanonlinemechanic

you'll see a plug coming from your key cylinder. When you move it to the different positions, different wires will light up. You need a test light to do this. That will tell you what wires correspond to which position.

As for finding the speed wire, you might want to check out some of the installation guides from apexi, they should give you a pin out of different products. I think the multichecker will have that pinout diagram for your car.
