PIT maintenance message on Navi screen

What does it mean? I already know how to reset it but what does it mean?

Can be anything you want. There is three reminders, tire, oil and other. I use 'other' to remind me of tire rotations for example. You could have it set to remind you to change your air filters or wiper blades or wash your car even.

You give it a distance and then in your head assign a task.

I played around with the reminders on my car on the way home and got the Pit reminder to come up. What’s funny is that is says “Maintenance due for: ” like you can enter text in there, but going thru the menus briefly I did not see a way to enter any.

Yea, I just to reset mine for my oil change & tire rotation as well.

So you're saying this reminder isn't caused by the car actually needing maintenance? It's simply an extra reminder you can set for anything? Like.....time to wash the car?

Yes, it's just an extra reminder. The car isn't complaining about anything being broken. Same like your oil reminder. It doesn't know the oil is dirty, but it knows how many miles since you last reset it, so it tells you. I use my extra reminder for air filters and checking over fluids.

Debonair is 100% correct. Just set it to zero if you don't want it to remind you of anything.

Rotation should be performed at your oil change service interval. I don't think it goes high enough for powertrain service intervals. 60kmi.
