I just have 2 questions...

What kinda Displacment bump up can you get if you bore over the ka24? and how safe is it.. I would like to hit 2.5l or so but will the walls get to thin cause i want here to be a TANK

my second question is... I once had a 91 turbo mr2 with a Bov I learnt that if you pulled the Reculation tube off it would get rich cause the MAf would measure the air and add fuel for it and then the BOV would just let that air out and it would over richen the engine.. Does the same apply for the KA24DE-T? If so how do you combat this? Cause I want a Atmosphere BOV... Cause i think its part of having a turbo car hearing the BOV

Thanks..

O I guess I have one more... Is it a realilistic goal if I shoot for 300HP with a Ka24De-t On stock internals??? and I mean with exhuast, intercooler intake, some tuning done on a SAFC or Emanage... cause thats my goal.. 300hp...

Thanks

first question, not sure.2nd question yes that same problem is in the ka.(i'll let someone else chime in with the way around it)

and yes it is a realistic goal of doing 300hp on stock internals, with a good tune and supporting mods(injectors, good turbo, better MAFS) you can do that much on stock internals.(a safe bet on stock internals is 350hp)

the fix around a rich condition after atmospheric blow off is a setting called "decel-air" on the safc, or "anti-stall" on the emanage. basically it locks the mafs voltage value to a lower reading when the throttle is released so the ecu doesnt add extra fuel.

You'd only need a 2mm overbore for 2.5L. I dont know if it can be done safely, but, honestly, even if it was possible, would it be worth weakening your walls, not to mention having to order custom pistons, for a mere .1 liter of displacement?

Is it really worth running like crap just so you can hear the damn sound? I know way too many people who loooove dumping their BOV's for the sole reason of being able to hear the (in my opinion, obnoxious) sound.

I have a re-circulated Turbo XS bypass valve, and I can hear that damn sound every time I shift. It gets pretty annoying actually. I'm sure you will hear it plenty fine, even re-circulated.

Putting the MAF after the BOV in a blow thru setup should help.
