Ok guys, so last time I posted I found out my 3rd cylinder rings are bad. So I bit the bullet and bought ARP rod and head bolts/studs, Cometic 90mm head gasket, and NPR piston rings.
So I'm about to do the rings and I found the diy on it (http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/piston ... ement.html) One problem though is the pictures aren't loading, so all that really tells me is what tools to use. Anyway does anybody have any pics of them doing it on a dual cam, or any input about taking everything apart?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
TwoFortyCoupe

FSM man.

Go to the engine disassembly section and just follow them. There's also diagrams in there to show you which way to face each ring and torquing procedures.

Also, when inserting the studs in the block, they only have to be finger tight.

installing your rings should be pretty straight forward. Dont let your ring gaps line up, there should be a basic guide in with your rings showing which direction the gaps should point. Dont forget to check end gap, although most oem replacements dont need trimmed. there are some videos on youtube that show how to check and adjust end gap. I like this one because it covers the correct way to trim the ring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf1rbqliYjk
