They're a consumable and should be replaced when rebuilding; they're not any more prone to failure than most other engines, but every engine lives a different life so generalization is useless.

I don't have a 25 so I dunno where you can find them, but sponsors/eBay would be a good place to start.

dont mean to jack ur thread...... but i have an rb20 i'm in the process of rebuilding, and i have heard that the pistons are the same size as a toyota motor (i cant remember which one off the top of my head). i was justn wondering if you guys think the rings for those pistons would work or if anybody has tried it?? any input would be greatly appreciated, and if that wont work, what are my other options?? also options for bearings?? thanks
