piston rings and valve seals

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a set of good pistons and rings and some new valve seals for the ka? building the naka, need to fix problems before upping hp.

You can put SOHC KA pistons in your DOHC KA and up the compression to 11.1 to 1 or better.

Thats a great increase from your stock 9.5 to 1 ratio. And its all OEM parts! = Cheap!!!

I'll tell you the part numbers if you are interested.

I recommend against moly rings as they take much longer to seal than "normal" rings and you risk not sealing them in some cases.

Except for the fact they say they have NO PARTS AVAILABLE for PERFORMANCE DOHC KA.

be patient. jesus christ. You think it's easy to R&D and manufacture custom performance parts? You expect a startup to have custom stuff right off the bat? Be realistic man. Besides, this thread is about rings, which they DO carry for a de.

11.1 to 1! wow, i didn't know that the sohc and dohc had that much difference in the piston design. sounds great for power, but not so much for streetability and gas prices. what other m,ods would i need to support the 11to 1?
