Hey sorry silly question but please bear/bare with me. How can I figure out the orientation of the piston when reinstalling them? Does the dot on the crown of the piston point forward? I kept them in the same order but my friend who was helping me rotated them and almost put them out of order. The grade is stamped on both the cyl, and pistons so Im ok in that area.

I couldnt see them until I got all the caked carbon off, the reason I asked is ive only worked on a block once before and it was a 4banger ford probe motor and it had fool proof arrows saying FORWARD>>>>.
The piston dimensions are symmetrical other than bottom vs top skirt being like 1 mm longer right?
