piston help.....LOOK!

ok, got a single cam block and wanna put a dual cam head on it i know i gotta change timing covers, oil pan, and timing gears and ish, but will the single cam pistons hit the dual cam valves??? here are my pistons

that's an 89 KA, falt top, I don't know if they will hit, but compression will be very high with those flat top....

the pistons shouldn't hit the valves, but the comp ratio will be somewhere in the 11's:1.(i just say this cause am pretty sure those pistons have been put on dohc ka's before)

i know its an 89 block, it came out of my car in the beginning of my madness, lol. and ya i heard its supposed to bump it up to 11:1, and i plan on putting some nasty itb's on it to make even more fun! but i just wanna be safe than sorry and do all my research before i start spending money on a project

are you still going to use to sohc short block while building this? and do you have any updates on this yet?

Thats a late 89 motor then. there is a 4 cc dish as opposed to dome, so you're in luck!

i have the same pistons in my DE motor, you're jsut fine. as soon as this motor runs i can see what kinda cams and durations you can use on a DE with these pistons
