First off, if the pistons are a stock size, you should hone the cylinders to fit the new pistons. Be careful though, the nikasil does have a serviceable limit that you dont want to have the cylinders honed past. As for the rods, you'll just need to have them bore mic'ed so you can figure out which bearings you need. If they are full floating wrist pins in the pistons you'll have to install spiroloks/clips as well. It's really not hard, you just have to make everything is sized properly. Oh, and if your doing it yourself you'll need some kind of ring compressor as well.

just have a machine shop do it. you're gonna need machine work and balancing anyways... its really not worth the trouble to just pay them to do the machining and then put it together yourself, it saves you like $50 and thats if you already have all the tools (and knowledge!) you need.

Oh, yep...since they are a different weight than stock rods/pistons you'll need the crank, front pulley, flywheel, and pressure plate balanced accordingly. I just had the machine shop do mine, it was WELL worth 680 bucks to have EVERYTHING done and put back together.
