I am trying to remove the nose panel and one of the screws that holds the black metal brakets to the z keeps turning and turning .... i have tried leverage and all the b.s i have tried oils and cleaners etc..... i have straight up went at the thing with a hammer and in the freakin end all i get is some internal bleeding in my hand which is bruising a cut finger and some paint chips in places that dont really matter...

Use a drill bit smaller than the hole...

Not trying to be a d!ck, but thats a pretty useful tool to have in your garage. I'd just buy one.

Drill and tap... if you can, that would be the best way.

Tried drilling my nose panel screw out and tapping it...Tap broke off in screw hole, Tap was a harder material than the drill bit, so I couldn't re-drill it. Now i have a stripped off screw head and no way of getting it out short of a plasma cutter, which I don't necessarily want to do...

Please don't take this as an insult, but do you have much experience drilling and tapping? I'm in Auto at my school, and we've had kids break a few taps but they didn't have much experience. Or perhaps the tap set was cheap? Or it could just be one of those freak cases where shi*t happens.

Either way, that sucks. My cousin and I tried making a valve tool, but the allen wrench we were trying to drill was stronger (apparently) than the bit we were trying to use to drill it out with. FRUSTRATING

And for the record, I have the same problem. Some @$$ completely sheared the head off of the bolt holding the nose panel off, so it is going NOWHERE.

I'd like to consider myself pretty well versed in the operation of most tools (not an expert by any means) but I've had experience with taps, mostly on tractors (same concept, different material). I guess it was just one of those times when, as you said, s*** happens
