Zenkicam..

I love the turbo position with the apex manifold. How did you come across one, and if you dont mind me asking how much did it run you? I'm really considering switching now because I am not a fan of the XO2 stainless, though it has been reliable, it doesn't position the turbo very well.

and pirate, it will be very very hard to come across another one.. they are extremely rare, and were only available to have if you bought an apexi kit, which was like ¥500,000 JPY or around $4,600 USD. They are kits discontinued now, and the chances of finding another one are extremely low. They are more rare than The HKS manifold.. I lucked up when i found this one. I Found it on Nico in the RB Classified, and Bought it from a Guy in Australia. His Name is Justin, Username 25ltr here on nico.. on other forums like nissansilvia, and Skylinesaustralia his username Is Silman. I talk to him a good bit, whether its through Youtube, or Email, but Ill tell him to keep a lookout over there in Aus. to look for you one, although chances are uber slim...

the Kit that it came off of is the Apexi RHX-6, So that phrase would be your best bet to search for in google, if you wanted one. there are very few people that have them, and oh dont forget, that these RX-6 kits were made for all difffernt types of motors, not just 25s.. They are easy to find for like evos, and RX7's and Twin Turbo RB26 Kits, but, since this manifold is a dual stud pattern for a RB25, or a single turbo RB26, its sorta hard to find them, cause not many of this model were made.. but it fits all RB's which is a good thing..

TheMadScientist used to have one on here, but he sold it. So you could check with him to see where he got his at too.. But if you find one, remember they are IHI flange, so it would need to be conv. to T3. mine already has been.

thanks for the info, I can imagine how rare they are. The position of the turbo just seems so perfect, I'm jealous!

Not changing the subject but how many of these manifolds would people be interested in? I can cast something like this if there is a decent demand?

If its a good price then it shouldn't be a problem. Hell I'm still waiting feedback on the manifold made in AUS. So far no one reported anything.

I would definitely be interested, as long as the price remains sub $500, otherwise I'd just keep looking for the real deal. Don't know much about casting, but it would be pretty sweet if you could keep your costs down and still make a profit.

Dude did you even read the thread? If you read you would of known its a Apexi manifold which only came in kits. Therefore pretty rare to get.

Yeah, I've been going back and forth for the past couple of months, whether to sell or not. It seems like every other day some new factor arises that make me change my mind. If I got the right offer, I'd probably sell, but otherwise I'm fine to keep working on it.

ok... so I'm definitely interetesed in picking up a new turbo for myself, needs to be cheap, so I've been looiking into these Holset setups. When it comes to turbos and all their many measurements I feel retarded lol Anything else RB I can help you with but not turbo sizing lol.

I see the chart for HP on the diesel motors but can anyone post up the HP range for each Holset on the RB, like what range is the Holset HX35 capable of on an RB25 with supporting mods of coarse? I would be happy to break the 400rwhp mark with one of these and at the same time not have to wait for 4400rpm before spooling.

some a little advice for the turbo retarded over here please thanks in advance guys!

For your Goals deffinately go with the HX35. And WH1C, is the Predecessor to the HX35.

Ok, I see there are many different hot side sizes to the hx35 which would suit the RB best, again looking for fast spool and good power. the chart shows like 4 or 5 different cm hx35s.

Thanks again!

12cm. It's the smallest and also the most common.

yea 12 cm is equivalent to around .90 AR so it aint too bad. just dont plan on runnning the Holset Wastegate..

Hey BoostFed. My HX35/40 isn't enough for me anymore (I'm pretty sure the exhaust side is choking it). I'm considering different things like a bigger wastegate to help reduce back pressure, or a B.E.P. HX35 housing. Also, if I can find another HX40 turbine wheel, I can just go straight HX40.

One other thing I was looking at is some of the larger framed HX's like the 50 and the 52. What do you know about them? I don't know if I could even spool a HX50 with a 2.5L or not. Maybe just finding a HX40 wheel (already have the housing) is the best way to go. What'da think?
