I just bought a JIC majic muffler...My question is should I buy an ebay catback, cut off the muffler, weld this one on or should I just have custom piping made?

Why get a custom exhaust system when there are plenty of cat-backs at the right price avalible.. Your gona pay through the nose for a custom exhaust, its really not worth it.

Get a catback, then get a custom downpipe/high flow cat.

Magnaflow makes some nice resonators, but **** man a resonator is a resonator.. They are pretty simple, and no company holds any real advantage over the next.

I agree with you. Metal pipe is metal pipe. Just cause it is not stamped with paint HKS, Skunk, or Borla doesnt make it junk. Hell if you buy the pieces yourself and weld them together isn' t that the same thing they do? I guess the custom exhausts that Boyd's hotrods and Chip Foose make are junk too. Now if you can't weld or it looks like shift then thats a different story.

I dont know im picky when it comes to the whole exhuast setup, i prefer to go custom and know that what im making is exactly what i want, and i hate having stainless steal pipping, i find it overpriced and useless its only going to go under the car to get F up .

There is some exhuast company on the forums that makes custom exhuasts and its basically the same shi* you can do urself they give you a selection of products, you pick it and they weld it and ship it out. Look it up i forgot the name, you might figure out what products are good as for the resonator and stuff.

i see that you are from mass also, why don't you just go to Lous Custom Exhaust? its like $350 and you choose the piping, resonator, muffler, and tip.

I found a place just searching mandrel bent piping on google but there's a race shop around here that will get me the exact bends I need and all the piping for $70 which is cheaper than prebent from any other company... just need a cat and a resonator and I'll be set. I would love to go to a place and get it all built for me but unfortunetaly with the access to a welder I'm not paying anyone for their labor, to quote someone on the forums "I'm made of time, not money". I have heard awesome things about lous though
