This thread is to warn you about a defect in Pioneer head units. The Pioneer DEH-8400 and the Premeir DEH-840 are defective. The motorized face plate is breaking in a lot of the head units. So many that its taken my friend 6 months for them to fix it and its still not back. I don't remember the number that they are fixing but I know its in the high thousands. Just thought anybody who was looking at one ought to know.

more moving parts means more failures.......
