Thanks to Rob and all his expert knowledge, I got all the components I needed and took it to one of the local shops. Pretty seamless fit...almost looks stock! I used the Scosche dash kit. It's a few dollars more expensive than the Metra one, but WAY better looking IMO. The smooth surface fits in well with the climate controls.

I've got an upgraded 40GB hard drive in this thing, with the Z2 software/firmware installed. So basically, it's a Z2!

Please excuse my greasy fingers and dusty screen

I like.

It sure beats my set up, 3.5" 8GB iPod touch.

Rob. I bought one of those upgraded ones from eBay. I first bought my own to re-image...but not ONE of my three desktops could disable the HDD's security. I ended up returning the hard drive and settled with one on eBay Installing the hard drive was a piece of cake. There's a slot right below the CD slot for the hard drive. All I had to do was unscrew 2 screws...slide the bracket out, mount the new hard drive on the bracket and stick it back in. (That's what she said!!!) lol sorry, had to add that in there.

McClane, I have a Bluetooth adapter connected to that thing. It cost about $90 for that module. There is a steering wheel control module, which I also had installed. This costs about $50. It allows all the steering wheel controls except the Bluetooth Call/End buttons.
