I'm not sure about you, but besides being in pretty bad condition (considering my car is an '01), that silver pinstripe isn't working for me. So, here's the question: is there any particular process you would/should use to remove it?I ask because I obviously don't want to mess up my paint, and I don't want streaks or anything.

I did a little test area this afternoon. Using a blow-dryer, I heated up an area where it was coming up a bit for 30 seconds or so (til it was hot to the touch), and then started picking at the point that was up a little bit already until I could get some grip, I then pulled a couple of inches off (it's at the end, so I don't have some random piece off), then used a rag with some spot car-cleaner on it to get the glue off. It came out really clean, so I think that process would work as long as I take it nice and slow like I did and heat it up real well, but I figured I'd check with the experts first. The expert in this case being NISTECH, as I assume you would know what possible effects this removal would have on the paint. TIA!

I'm in the process of trying to get my own ugly pinstripe off. So far the only thing I see negative about the paint is the fact that it's not faded where the stripe was, so there's still a "ghost" on the car, but it looks way better.

A long, time-consuming process it is...I swear, f----g pinstripes.

It only took about 5 minutes to get about a 4-6 inch strip off at the rear. The way I worked it... Since my car is an '01 I couldn't see any colour difference, though the lighting wasn't totally great, even then I don't think it'll be a big issue. Are you doing it the same way or the somewhat popular goo-gone method? It seems to me that goo-gone is a good way to crew up some paint...?

the heating process is the most important part in which you have to be carfull if you get it to hot the paint will bubble. If you were able to get that much off with out damaging it follow that process thru out the rest of the car. just be sure you dont over heat the paint.

I used 3M auto adhesive remover to take off the sticky stuff left when the pinstripe surface was off. It works well - I wipe with the cleaner, then wipe with a clean wet rag to get the chemicals off. Supposed to be ok with paint, but I don't take any chances.

Mine is taking a lot longer than yours - don't know if the dealer used a different type of material than yours when they put it on. It's not coming off easy even with the heat gun.
