Pink Goo on Transmission and

I own a 2008 Nissan Versa Automatic (CVT). I needed to get my car serviced for 30k. I got a quote for $800 from the only 2 dealerships in seattle (One in edmonds and one in bothell) so I ended up going to a mechanic that my friend referred me to. He did my 30k for $150 and he ended up finding some pink goo in between the metal. The mechanic told me to take it into the Nissan dealership to have it fixed b/c it wasn't normal, but when I took it there, they said ALL the Nissans on the lot have that pink goo in the transmission. They wouldn't fix anything. I told them to replace the transmission fluid and they quoted me $250. So I told them not to replace the fluid.

I have three questions

First, is $800 a reasonable price for a 30k service?

My Second question is: Is the pink goo a problem?

1. What included in it? And I think it sounds about right.

2. Are you sure its not transmission fluid, because its the same color if new. Pictures will definitely help.

3. Yes usually its max $200 for a BG transmission flush.

Hmmm...a picture? I can try, but it will be hard. Its under the car, but I will try and get a pic out.
