Can anyone tell me the stock pinion angle on a 4 cylinder 2wd 5 speed, I cant seem to find it in the fsm or anywhere

It depends.

The pinion angle should be between 1 and 3 degrees pointed down from parallel to the transmission (or the front driveshaft on a 2 piece drive line.) What that means is the pinion could, under certain circumstances, point up.

Basically, it should match the trans output, which is never 100% straight. The rear shaft should be angled down slightly.

correct. Get a cheap magnetic angle finder if you don't already have one. The 1-3 degree difference accomodates axle wrap on the leaf springs.

Thanks guys, I have the angle finder, and I'm 4 linked, so no axle wrap will be happening, i was close when I replaced my upper links, just dont want to blow anything apart, again thank you
