Has anyone experienced this sound? Usually when slowly turning or pulling into or back out of a parking spot?

Something to do with braking and turning slowly?

It;s driving me bonkers and the dealership has replaced the bearing mount, most of the suspension....I want to park my car on the edge on a cliff in neutral.

Help! Ideas? Same problems?

I believe the problem is with the steering knuckle once you replace that your problem should be solved.

I have another appt next week and will mention that to my service advisor...

There is none of that clunking in the actual steering wheel or under the pedals like so of the other posts talk about.

Any other thoughts?

I get a fast tick tick tick sound when I move the wheel all the way to either side and moving forward. Haven't thought much of it.

I had the steering klunk when turning at slow speeds. The dealership replaced the "Steering Joint Assembly" last September and it hasn't returned.

it's not that tick tick tick sound....that's the timing belt...my old car had that too. A Pontiac Sunfire, the Versa has it too. This is more of a metal, spring like sound...so so so annoying!!

I hate my poor little car because of it.

I had the same exact problem, it happened especially when I was pulling into/out of an inclined road with a sharp angle at low speeds. It turned that the strut bearings were grinding.

I went to 3 dealers to get this fixed. The first one didn't hear a noise. The second one heard it when I pointed it out to them. They replaced the steering column and strut mount, neither of which solved the problem. The third dealer found the problem and fixed it on the first try.

Hi everyone, thats the exact problem I have on my versa! I do not have a warranty on my car anymore.

Any ideas how much an steering knuckle costs or how about strut bearings??
