Hi Guys, I have an issue with my 2013 Rogue FWD SE. I can hear this very subtle pinging noise while driving and it sounds like it's either coming from the hood or the dashboard. However, it's not constant, it's intermittent and it's there more when it's windy. Non windy day, no noise, and it's like a pinging type noise, something you might hear if there was a loose radio antenna however, our Rogue's don't have those old style steel screwed on antennas, so I'm at a loss as to what it could be.

Anyone else here experience similar noise? It gets really annoying sometimes, especially since I don't play the radio or cd most of the time. If the radio was on, I doubt it would be even audible.

Could be your hood isn't "secured" all the way. There are 2 bumper stops that you can unscrew to make them raise higher so that the hood rests right on it, thus no hood movement at all.
Could also be a window that is down just a bit or window deflectors.

I don't have window deflectors and already made sure all windows were fully up and snug. So, the only thing I guess I can try is the hood resting screws. Will try that today and see if it help.

Ok, I just adjusted the two rubber rests for the hood, turned them counter clockwise one whole turn, did notice that the hood closed a bit tighter than usual. However, today is not a windy day, true test if this solved the issue will be on a day that's windy. Let's see what happens, keeping my fingers crossed that this will fix the issue.

Windy day here today, and it looks like adjusting the rubber grommets under the hood has worked in getting rid of the noise. I turned back the grommets half a turn back clockwise as a whole turn seemed to tighten up the hood a bit too much, so only half a turn did the trick.
