Since replacing the heater core on my 90 Q45 I have noticed a pinched air type sound coming from behind the dash. It seems to be intermitant but happens on a reugular basis. Jerry Tucker installed the heater core and has tried to fix the problem but it still persists. Any ideas on what the cause might be?

Thanks in advance

What's a pinched air noise - sort of a whistle (like a window not rolled up all the way)??

Its a sound like air escaping from a hose that is not completly sealed, like a whistle. It never made the sound before the heater core was replaced. Its definitely coming from behind the dash not the window.

I don't have much experience in dealing with this particular part of the car... do you think the air box that surrounds the core and holds in the fan may not be sealed correctly? I haven't heard of this before. The best thing they can do is to take it apart again to look for the cause - then reassemble paying special attention to any seals.
