So does Infiniti cover the dash defect or not?

I'm sure my 2008 FX35 is out of warranty...

Infiniti sent out letters a few years ago...The dash is covered by recall warranty. I had an 07 and replaced without incident. I now have a 13 FX37 no problem!

The fact that your '08 is out of warranty is no factor, Infiniti fix the dash and then provide additional warranty on the dash only. I didn't receive the letter in the mail, but learned about hit here. I contacted my dealer and they replaced the dash with no problems.
