hmmm...

think I've seen more Evo's then the STi's...

don't see a whole lot of either around here though.

there's a bunch of Spec V sentras however.

Performance cars sadly just don't sell that well here, most buy lame boring economy boxes.:(

^So true. There is a small growth of in the import performance sales thatnks to cars like the 350 Z/G35, Evo, and STI, but it still isnt at the level that I feel it should be.

On a side note: Did I just lose some posts? Or were we talking about also talking about skylines in another thread?

Oh and Evos are becoming a lot more popular than the STI because they are better looking. That is bound to change though since Mitsubishi is going to drop the drivetrain coverage from the warrantee. Im 50/50 on the two. I love the looks of the Evo, but I also love the looks of the STI. My only quarrel with the STI is that it comes without a radio, but in a way is also good cuz I could piece toghther my own stereo equipment. I like the sound of the 7 speaker Infinity system in the Evo, but with the drivetrain warranty loss, Im gonna have to side more with the STI.

Here in Houston Z33's are beginning to be so common. Tonigh actually, when I was out driving with my pops, we noticed a Z and my dad was like "I'm beginning to not like them as much, theres too many". I have seen more Evo's than STI's here, but I see them pretty often I guess (2 a week)

Its the same over here where you'll get more EVO's as compared to WRX..with labour being so cheap here, almost half of EVO are converted normal Cedias and Lancers!!!LOL..They would transplant the whole engine and drivetrains from the EVO and mutilate the chasis to fit the 4WD..I would imagine it drives like a wet noodle being a 4WD in a FF chasis..LOL

Anyway, I was told that Subaru, which are from Fuji Industries are actually a company owned by Nissan.hmmmm

I've noticed that in the States you would get the 2.5 liters version of the STi where else you only get the 2 liters version else where.

BB turbo: yup being common tend to put people off sometimes and that's what I'm hoping will happen to the GTR 34 here..you see three of them in any given day .. I hoping the prices will drop to the point that its more affordable!!

I was told the Houston has the fastest Supras in the States..is that true? or is it Dallas?.I was in a forum once where the smack talking went overboard between the Supra and Skyline camp that I just lost interest..LOL..

not that I'm aware of, GM has like 20% stake in Fuji I believe.

Nissan's parent company Renault may however have stake, I'm not too familiar with it honestly.

yeah, we don't care about being able to compete in WRC, it's all about displacement:D

undertaker are you still trying to remove the spacers from you last cardomain page pic?

I think the tool you're looking for is called a crows foot (okay that's not the name, but it looks like a socket with 4 posts sticking down). I've used one specially made for disassembling some optical manufacturing machinery. I'll look around if you still need?

Well, Subaru is japanese (i think) for a greek word that means group of stars. The 5 stars in Subaru's emblem stand for each one of the 5 big investors or something in the company.

Eh, I don't think Houston or Dallas has the fastest Supras, kind of a broad statement I guess. There are a few very fast Supras I have seen with my own eyes though.

BB Turbo: well I was just assuming about the Supras over there cause of the stuff they were saying on the forum about wanting to whoop Skylines..LOL.Anyway , I didn't know that Subaru is actually a Greek word. I 've noticed that Fuji Industries was an official sponsors for the Nismo GTR for the JTCC last year ( no sure about this year though)..I do see a slight resemblance between the GD Impreza and the GTR34 especially at the grill and rear wheel arch..maybe I'm just imagining things heehee.

M1der: Speaking of rallying, the Pulsar GTI-R is one sweet ride. Its pretty rare here too. I believe they'll give the EVOs and STIs a run for its money. With a souped up SR20DET ( solid lifters, stronger con rods , 4 throttles, bigger turbos (s15 sized) ) as a standard issue in all GTI-Rs, its a shame they don't make them anymore.

Coming back to the subject of C33s; would anyone by chance has come across a picture or a site of a C33 with a GTR 32 front ( front fender , bonnet, bumper and grill)? I've seen Cefiros A 31 with Laurel C33s and also GTR32 fronts but not Laurels with them. I've been toying with the idea of doing it cause 1) The GTR32 being alluminium is so much lighter than the Laurel steel bonnet 2) The front fender of the GTR 32 will allow me to use wider and more set rims 3) the GTR 32 bumper has a bigger opening for the intercooler and being made out of P.U., I wouldn't have a problem of the bumper breaking if I was involved in a minor accident. I was just wondering if it'll look weird..thanks

I am still trying to find a tool for these, if you can find out more it would be really helpful. Someone else suggested I get a tool maker to make something up so I may do that.

SKAGEE: i think only about 300 260RS's were made but I can't find out for sure. There are a few Stageas here but they are far from common, most people have never heard of them. The auto trans will not handle much power from what I have heard, for big power it needs to be strengthened or better still replaced with a manual.

undertaker: I reckon that they are limited too as the same with the other Autech cars.Besides the Stagea, I really like the 4 door GTR 33 done by them ..besides the engine and 4 WD system, they even manage to get the flared/ wide body done to the car which is very hard to do with a 4 door.

yeah the 4 door 33 is cool, hard to find though. a guy in Aussie built a really good copy but he had to buy the rear doors. they also made a four door 32gtr, about five cars

I found a screensaver with lots of pics of the 4 door R-34...If i can find the site I got it from I'll post up a link. There are some really good pictures of it driving in mountains and such, in various colors. Why the hell do we Americans not deserve that car!!!? I mean, I love my Maxima, but...damn!! I want a $90,000+ sedan with ATTESSA-ETS, Super HICAS, and an RB26DETT!!!! Show my neighbor and his brand new ugly POS Bimmer 540i what a real all-wheel-drive sedan can do.

Yea there's nothin special bout those Bimmers. They look nice on the outside, but the interior is just a little better than my moms 04 Murano. Aint nothin, but an overpriced problem.

my neighbors is pretty ugly...it has this horroible thin light strip along the trunk that reminds me of an old Camry, and that is a very bad thing. And my dad's '04 Max's interior is far nicer...and the sound system is a world ahead (he has the Bose 8 speaker system).

Everyone I know who has driven a 5 series absolutely HATES the active steering...they say it gets in the way and is the opposite of predictable.

I found that R34 4-door screensaver:http://www.skylinesdownunder.c...2d3ac

BB Turbo: cool pixs..thanks

Undertaker: Yeah Autech do make 4 door GT-R32s but I believe that the engine they use is an RB26DE..an NA..don't ask me why.. but I heard that they're pretty rare too!!! I once stumbled upon a a magazine with a 4 door R33 400R in it..it was in Japanese, so I can't make out what it says but it looked pretty cool..
